Quiet XPA beer review
Heaps Normal
Too good to be wasted!
Falling pregnant was a very exciting experience, but as a lover of wine, cider, and beer I came to be bored of drinking soda water VERY quickly. So to alleviate the boredom I set out to find the best the non-alcoholic realm had to offer. Not meaning to offend the makers of non-alcoholic wine, but it is all terrible. Non-alcoholic cider is a good option – it’s just sparkling apple juice after all – delicious!
Then that brings me to beer.
We’ve seen the ads for the various 0.0% lager beers and if you’ve tried those you would know they all taste a bit like a watered-down version of their alcoholic counterparts. As a person who favours crafties, they don’t exactly hit the spot, and to be honest I didn’t think there would be any non-alcoholic beers that would.
Enter the Heaps Normal Quiet XPA.
At no point was I expecting this to taste anything like a regular, delicious, alcoholic XPA. But my goodness, what a pleasant surprise!
Not only is this beer packed full of hoppy flavour, but it is also well balanced with a truly beery bitter finish. With a good amount of citrus and tropical flavours, it is not too sweet on the tastebuds, and its similarity to the amazing Balter XPA helps to settle the cravings.
It is now my go-to thirst quencher after a long day at work. Thank you to the guys at Heaps Normal for this creation! As their motto goes – it’s too good to be wasted!

Watermelon Ace
I’ve been dying to get down to the cellar door to try this variety of ace and since hearing it was getting canned, I’ve been counting down the days.
Unbridled Unicorn
Super smooth and actually quite light to drink, small piney bitterness which is balanced with some sweetness and a chewy mouthwatering mouthfeel.
