Going to a pub with your mates to enjoy a few pints together is great, but when the weather is warm, it is far more enjoyable to sit outside while you drink.

Here in Perth, we are lucky to have a number of beer gardens in the local area that are perfect for a few weekend lunch or afternoon bevvies. Organise an afternoon, night or weekend lunch to catch up with mates and experience some of the best beer gardens Perth has to offer.

Here are a few of the best beer venues, pubs and taverns with beer gardens in Perth for you to explore.

    Hadiqa

Located: Hibernian Place Top Floor, 40 Irwin Street Perth WA 6000

Hadiqa is a Moroccan-themed restaurant that offers delicious food in a lush, green setting.

The outdoor beer garden is like an oasis, and there is plenty of greenery inside as well. In addition to small bites that are perfect for sharing, the bar also serves up delicious craft beers for you to enjoy. Best of all, it’s located right in the heart of the Perth CBD, making it easy to get to from anywhere in the city.

You can even take a virtual tour.

    The Left Bank

Located: 15 Riverside Rd, East Fremantle WA 6158

The Left Bank is a long-standing institution in East Fremantle for beer drinkers.

The beer garden faces onto the Swan River, giving you and your mates incredible views of the water and passing yachts while you gulp down a few pints. The venue also hosts frequent special events, so keep an eye on their Facebook for upcoming events to make your experience even more memorable.

    Market Grounds

Located: 10 Telethon Ave, Perth WA 6000

Market Grounds is one of the larger venues on this list with a capacity of more than 800, making it easy to avoid the crowds when you want to have a conversation.

Formerly the area’s central marketplace, this King’s Square spot is right in the heart of Perth, making access easy. In addition to a large selection of beers and multiple bar areas, it also serves outstanding food.

    The Windsor Hotel

Located: 112 Mill Point Rd, South Perth WA 6151

Set just opposite Perth Zoo, The Windsor Hotel has the beer garden of your dreams – with a secluded outdoor area surrounded by the building.

The South Perth beer garden has plenty of areas to sit around with mates and down a few pints. While having a somewhat old appearance from the outside, the beer garden is kept in great condition, with flowing waterfalls and natural greenery placed around the space.

While you’re there, make sure to taste the full selection from Ogdens Brewery, which has the set up within eye-sight of the beer garden. Their delicious range of beers will keep you there for hours and they might even give you a small tour.

    399 Bar

Located: 399 William St, Perth WA 6000

The outdoor beer garden at 399 Bar is small and cozy, so you and your mates will have the chance to mingle.

It is located right in the middle of Perth’s bustling Chinatown in Northbridge, so it is great for people-watching as well – which I’m sure we all enjoy after a few pints. With more than 40 beers on offer, as well as ciders and craft cocktails, you’ll have a great selection.

The drinks menu is constantly changing, so be sure to try something new!

    Rosemount Hotel

Located: 459 Fitzgerald St, North Perth WA 6006

The beer garden at the Rosemount Hotel is a prime spot for North Perth locals.

Aside from its recently renovated beer garden, the hotel is also one of the city’s premier rock and roll concert venues. Stop by for a few pints on your way to a show, or just kick back and enjoy hanging out with enthusiastic concert-goers. Large, communal tables make it easy to socialise with friends and soon to be friends (also known as unexpected randoms).

    The Brisbane Hotel

Located: 292 Beaufort St, Perth WA 6003

If you are looking for something laid back but still slightly upscale, The Brisbane Hotel is for you.

Whether it is a buck’s party or a girls’ night out, you and your mates will love the leisurely atmosphere and delicious craft beers. The food menu is extensive as well, so there is a bit of something for everyone.

    The Standard

Located: 28 Roe St, Northbridge WA 6003

Set on a rooftop in Northbridge, The Standard‘s beer garden is a must-see.

You’ll enjoy spectacular views of the city from your high perch while you sample seasonal brews and a carefully curated selection of bottled beers. The food menu focuses on gluten-free and vegetarian options, making it suitable for everyone in your group.

    The Broken Hill Hotel

Located: 314 Albany Hwy, Victoria Park WA 6100

Recently renovated, the Broken Hill Hotel has the perfect beer garden for large groups, best enjoyed on a warm Summer’s afternoon.

Located in Burswood, a quick journey south east of Perth, Broken Hill Hotel serves a combination of main stream beer and craft beer, with excellent food choices. Special menus and beers are also organised year round for events such as Australia Day, Oktoberfest and more.

The large beer garden includes a combination of small tables and larger group tables, with umbrellas for shade while the sun is out. The front of the venue also include bar stool seating for guests.

We recommend dropping in for lunch on the weekend so you can soak up the sun and sink some beers all day long.
