The Galway Hooker beer venue review
The Galway Hooker is an authentic and homely Irish pub located in Perth’s North West. Park of the ARK group (known for other venues such as Durty Nelly’s, Market Ground and The Peach Pit next door), the beer venue opened up in early 2020.
What makes this new Irish Pub so authentic is that it was built, disassembled and transported from Ireland’s West Coast – you can’t get much more authentic than that.
The venue has a few distinct sections including a front patio area overlooking Scarborough beach, a large area inside with dining and bar seating, a few smaller booths near the back of the venue as well as a stage for live music. They even have a boat inside the beer venue which has been transformed with an attached bar table to hold your beer.
Classic beer selection
The beer selection includes all the classic favourites you’ll find at most bars in Perth. But what makes this bar unique is the authentic Guinness and Kilkenny taps right at the front of the bar. If dark beers are your go-to we definitely recommend visiting The Galway Hooker – they know how to pour your beer perfectly.
If Whiskey is more your thing, they also serve a wide selection of fine Irish Whiskey.
Chasing something to eat?
The food menu at The Galway Hooker is also very authentic Irish cuisine with their stews and pies sure to go down easy on a cold Winter’s afternoon. A few food options include Irish pork sausages, Irish stew and of course, beef & Guinness pie.
