Broken Hill Hotel beer venue review
In mid-2019, The Broken Hill Hotel shut its doors to the public with the owner (who had more than 15 years of involvement with the hotel) passing it on to a new leaseholder. A few months later, the pub reopened completely renovated and looking as sleek as ever.
The building itself looks very similar and familiar, but the inside was new and unique.
Looking at the front of the Broken Hill Hotel, you’ll see some large umbrellas and outdoor bar seating. It’s the perfect spot for visitors seeking a quick lunch on a warm summer day. To the left of the hotel is a large beer garden (one of Perth’s best beer gardens) including large seating areas and umbrellas for shade.
The venue layout
The inside of the hotel is essentially split into three sections; a formal dining area, bar with ample seating, and TAB betting area:
Formal Dining Area
Dark marine blue walls with varnished wooden furniture and floors gives the dining area a warm and homely vibe. You can order your meal direct from this area for couples and families seeking a delicious lunch or dinner.
Bar Area
The sleek and modern bar design wraps around the centre of the venue, with ample 4 & 6 seat bar tables. The wall-mounted TVs let you keep an eye on the game while enjoying your meal and frothies.
TAB Betting Area
Out the back of the building are a few TAB betting machines perfect for cobbers wanting to have a punt. This area also features another smaller bar and bar seating.
Why not visit today?
If you’re yet to try out the new Broken Hill Hotel, now is the time to visit. The venue has helped to revitalise an often-struggling strip in Victoria Park with a brand new modern take housed within an old building with a rich history.
The beer selection includes a few classics you’ll find at most local bars and venues, plus a few crafties on tap to pick from. Their food menu also covers all the essential selections of a good pub feed, including the classic chicken parmi, steak sandwich and fish & chips.
