Whitfords Brewing Company brewery review

Whitfords Brewing Co by Beerland opened their doors in late 2017 in the new revitalised dining hub of Westfield Whitford City. Since opening, the Westfield Whitford City shopping centre has become an absolute crowd favourite, full of delicious dining options with every type of food you could imagine, including Indian, Mexican, Japanese, Thai and many more.

But the real highlight in this area and the stand out of the bunch is Whitfords Brewing Company.

Whitfords Brewing brew their delicious range of beers including a year-round range and seasonal beers on premises which are on display behind large floor to ceiling glass windows when you visit. The dining area is huge which spills out into a shaded area in front of their entrance, which is surrounded by greenery and running water features.

The inside area gives a real cosy and homely vibe with big wooden tables and chairs, including a combination of normal restaurant seating and bar tables with stools. They even make use on the structural pillars down the centre with bar tables custom fit around the pillars – excellent use of space.

At the far back there is an outdoor area with large bar tables which overlooks Whitfords Ave. This makes a great area for small group bookings and events which can be made online or via phone. Finally, there is an upstairs sky deck which has great views overlooking Hillarys and Kalaroo, including sights of the ocean.

The venue is really well planned out and just flat out awesome to experience.

Now on to the beer. The Whitfords Brewing Co beer range has something to suit any type of beer drinking, from award winning wheat beers, to easy drinking and moreish pale ales. The extensive list of seasonal beers they create throughout the year are also worth a tasting as they are usually delicious. If it’s your first time at Whitfords Brewing Company, get a pint of India Pale Ale or Wheat Beer.

Whitfords Brewing also have a loyalty program where you can build up points on beer and food purchases. We definitely recommend joining up as VIP card members also get invited to limited release beer tastings and events they hold throughout the year. We’ve been to a few of these events and they are not to be missed.

Finally, the menu offers a huge range of options (including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options) as well as daily specials throughout the week. While most of the core menu stays the same year-round, they do switch it up a bit based on the seasons. If you’re in a group, grab a few wood fired pizzas and a few entrees to share.
