The Queens Hotel beer venue review
The Queens Hotel and Tavern in Highgate has a long, rich history dating back to when it was built in 1889. After it underwent a massive renovation and overhaul in 1986, The Queens Hotel was revitalised while still keeping some of it’s old rustic charm.
The beer venue has two key sections with a huge downstairs dining and lounge area (including a large beer garden), and the upstairs bar, lounge and balcony section. Located conveniently on Beaufort Street in Highgate (just north of Perth), it’s the perfect location for a quick pint and feed on your way home from work.
If you’re looking to host a large or small function, The Queens Hotel is perfect – with reservations available for groups from 15 to 160 people.
Fancy a delicious meal to accompany your beer? We recommend trying:
- Entree: southern fried chicken, char siu pork belly boas
- Mains: steak sandwich, chicken parmi, pizza, beef wellington
One of the biggest draw cards for craft beer enthusiasts has to be the monthly brewers loft held in the upstairs area of the queens. Each month, The Queens welcomes a craft beer brewery into the venue to tap and serve a range of their beer. This is usually paired with a delicious food selection to compliment your beer – or you can stick to their classic main menu down stairs.
With a huge selection of craft breweries in the past such as Wild Hop, Rocky Ridge, Innate Brewers, Impi Brewers and more, the event is always buzzing and packed to the brim with people. On top of all that, the beers are always competitively priced, with most events having craft beer pints available from just $5 each – bargain!
Keep up to date and find the next Brewers Loft event by following the Brewer’s Loft Facebook Page.
